“In the past there existed other projects that were interested in studying the Vašulkas’ archive, such as the Film and Television School of Prague’s Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) and the now-defunct International Center for Art and New Technologies (ICANT). Woody also tried to implement the archives in the Second Life online environment, which he believed might be suitable place for archival collaboration. He presented his work in the Second Life environment at the Open Archives conference held as part of the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in October 2008. The Vašulkas’ archival explorations include many utopian detours and dead ends.
